Much of enjoying life is in the details. Wouldn’t you agree? This is a truth I’ve come to really learn during the last year. With a global pandemic, coupled with quitting my job to be a stay-at-home mom, I’ve spent a LOT of time at home. And to really enjoy my home and the time I spend in it, I’ve been striving to shift my focus and thought process by transforming my daily, rather mundane tasks, into meaningful, joyful, and beautiful experiences. This can be as simple as adding a fresh bouquet to the dinner table, writing your grocery list on a monogrammed tablet, cooking dinner in a beautiful floral apron, lining your drawers with scented paper liners, and investing in luxury sheets for your bed. As a new mom, my time is no longer my own. So, the few times during the day that I do have alone time (usually during naps times), I try to spend it wisely. During Teddy’s first nap of the day is usually when I have a free moment to get ready and do my morning ablutions. Some ways I make getting ready in the morning a joyful and relaxing experience is by having a tall glass of refreshing electrolytes on the counter that I sip while getting ready, listening to a podcast or music, and using my favorite skincare products.
