Can we just pause for a minute and talk about how it’s already June?! I feel like this year is flying by!! Here in PA, summer is in full swing (it’s currently 90 degrees outside as I type this). We’ve already traveled to South Carolina and back to kick off the summer with a family beach trip (the same trip that I wore this dress on!). For that trip, I ordered this one-piece swimsuit from Summersalt. I’ve been on the hunt for a classic and flattering one-piece swimsuit (my postpartum body is so thankful that they are in style 😉 ). I’ve been seeing and hearing about Summersalt everywhere so I had to see what all the hype was about!
Why I Picked Summersalt
One thing I loved from the get-go was the inclusive size guide that Summersalt offers. They took 1.5 million body measurements from 10,000 women! Literally, every body type is represented and I love that!!
For me personally, I wanted to find a one-piece swimsuit that was A.) long enough for my long torso (I’m almost 5’10) B.) one that I could easily nurse Teddy in and C.) one that was cute, durable, and made me feel confident. Summersalt checked all those boxes (and then some!)!
What One-Piece Swimsuit I Picked + How It Fit
I was back and forth between several different styles but ultimately narrowed it down to the suits that were available in my size (6/8) and were also long torso. My only complaint is that the styles available for long torso are limited…however, they still have more styles available in long than most retailers.
The suit that I chose was the Perfect Wrap One Piece in black and white. The black and white wasn’t my first choice, I really wanted the double-blue, but they were out of my size. Looking back, I’m so glad I went with the black and white. It just looks really classic and put-together. I felt like I was Meredith Blake in the Parent Trap! And I actually had a woman stopped me on the beach to ask me where I got my suit because she loved it so much.
It was long enough for my torso and it wasn’t too cheeky. I felt I had just enough cup support, but if you’re bigger chested, I would suggest finding a suit that has more support. And I was able to easily nurse Teddy, which was a must for me. For the sizing, I went with a size 8L and it fit like a glove! I would say that if you’re in between sizes, to size up. It’s generally my rule to size up in swimsuits anyway – I would way rather it be a little too big than too small.
I love the detail of this suit! The bow is darling!
So, I think it’s safe to say that I found the perfect flattering one-piece swimsuit, thanks to Summersalt! And, Summersalt is definitely going to be my new go-to for all things swim!
Below, I rounded up some other styles that caught my eye! 🙂 Have you gotten a suit from Summersalt? I would love to hear your thoughts below!!
