I recently got my very first cashmere sweater. And I’m not quite sure how I’ve gone this long without one! They are so soft and comfortable, I mean it is cashmere. But, they are also lightweight, making them a great transitional item for in-between seasons. They come in almost every color but I chose the camel color for fall. And I’m so glad that I did! My fall wardrobe consists of a ton of neutral/earthly tones and lots of plaid. So, camel goes with lots of my wardrobe pieces. I recently shared a reel on Instagram on how to style a cashmere sweater and it got tons of views! In today’s post, I’ll be expanding on that and sharing three ways to style a cashmere sweater including accessories and shoes!
Look No. 1: The Classic Academic
I call this look, the classic academic. When I style my cashmere camel sweater this way, I feel quite studious and like I need to head to the library or coffee shop and do some studying. This particular style includes two wardrobe staples for me: the classic white button-up and a pair of penny loafers. To achieve this look, style the cashmere sweater over a white button-up and pair it with jeans and the classic penny loafer. For a touch of fall, top off the look with this adorable houndstooth knotted headband.
Look No. 2: The Perfect Fall Outfit
Once fall hits, I can’t help but break out every plaid item in my wardrobe. I love this darling houndstooth skirt (can you tell that I have a thing for houndstooth?! ha!). And it pairs perfectly with the camel color cashmere sweater. Pair with pearls (my go-to!) and some flats.
Look No. 3: Noteworthy Neutrals
I absolutely love dressing in neutrals. This look is great for fall and winter. And don’t be afraid to wear white after Labor Day. That’s got to be the top fashion rule that I always break. Pairing with animal print shoes is a fun way to liven this look up a little bit.
These are my three favorite ways for how to style a cashmere sweater! Which look is your favorite? Remember that you can shop my looks here!
