Life Lately No. 1

I am so excited to start a new series called, Life Lately, where I share a little move about life and what I am up to! So this is Life Lately No. 1:

Teddy Update

For starters, Teddy is 11-months-old today! I cannot believe it! I feel like this first year with him has flown by. The saying, ‘the years are short but the days are long’ is so true! And I am definitely 100% exhausted by the end of the day. It’s been so fun to see him grow and develop. Just last week, he has started to walk all around the house by pushing his little baby walker. He goes up and down our hallway and it’s the sweetest thing! It feels like yesterday that he was just starting to crawl.

Aaron Got a Promotion!

Aaron (my husband) recently got a big job promotion. It was an unexpected blessing and we are so thankful to the Lord for this new opportunity for him. I can tell he is so excited! Since COVID, he has been working completely from home. It’s been so nice to have him here and he loves him being able to see Teddy grow, especially in his first year of life. Before COVID, he traveled a ton for his job and though he loves being home, I know he misses being on the road and seeing people in person and not always over zoom. But with things opening up again, this new role will have a mix of working-from-home and travel, so I think he is excited to change things up a bit.

Beach Bound!

We are leaving for the beach soon! I am so excited to be heading back down to South Carolina for our family beach trip. We went to the beach to kick off the summer at the end of May and it was great! Now we are going back, but this time with my whole family. I still can’t believe that it will be August so soon – it feels like the summer has completely flown by!

I will definitely be packing my favorite one-piece swimsuit…I did a full review of my suit here!

I joined a gym!

So, I recently joined our local gym in hope of getting back into a more consistent workout routine. I always do better when I am actually at the gym to work out versus doing a home workout routine. I’ve had some success with doing home workouts, but I honestly lack the discipline at first. And I need to be consistently working out to feel the need to keep it up and do a home workout. Do you know what I mean? It’s hard for me to start a workout routine at home and keep it up. When I go to the gym, I’m there and have no choice but to do a workout, ha!

When I worked full-time, my office had a gym and it was amazing. I got into an awesome routine of working out over my one-hour lunch break. It was such a game-changer and I miss it so much! I haven’t been to the gym since I was like 8-weeks pregnant with Teddy….aka a very long time ago! So, I am excited to get back into a gym routine (hopefully) 😉

Thanks for reading my first, Life Lately post!
