Maternity Fall Capsule Wardrobe

Okay, so I know that this post is a long time coming! Since announcing my pregnancy in the spring, I’ve gotten tons of questions about maternity clothes over on Instagram. So, I decided to put together a maternity capsule wardrobe! Because I’m due in 7 weeks (wait, what?!), I created a maternity capsule wardrobe for the fall. But I do think that this could carry you into the winter months, too.

In full disclosure, I’ve never put together a maternity capsule wardrobe before. I really tried to take my time with this one and pick out pieces that are classic and timeless. When I was first pregnant with Teddy, I felt like I had to completely abandon my sense of style because there were no good options for maternity wear. Now granted, it was in the middle of COVID, and supply chain issues made getting basic things like toilet paper difficult, let alone maternity clothes.

But still, finding maternity clothes was overwhelming and a major struggle for me. With crazy hormones and body changes, I so desperately wanted to feel like myself again. So, with this pregnancy, I wanted to do my best to find maternity pieces that helped me look and feel my best. Finding an outfit that makes you feel confident is hard enough when you’re not pregnant. So it’s my hope that this maternity capsule wardrobe will help you take the stress and frustration out of finding something cute to wear.

What’s Included in This Maternity Capsule Wardrobe

This maternity fall capsule wardrobe includes pieces that I would include in a traditional fall capsule wardrobe (you can view my Classic Style Fall Capsule Wardrobe here) only they’re mostly maternity. However, I do have a few non-maternity things that are bump-friendly. Additionally, I added a section that includes “Pregnancy Basics/Essentials,” which includes maternity leggings, Grow-With-Me pregnancy underwear, a Belly Bandit, my favorite bra (that is nursing friendly!), and my favorite maternity pajamas.

Like any capsule wardrobe, the goal is to be able to mix and match these pieces to create endless outfit ideas!
