Positively Pink

This weekend my in-laws are in town from Boston. It’s the first time that they have been to visit us since our wedding almost two years ago, so we wanted to show them our favorite local spots! We took them out to lunch to the Boiling Springs Tavern, a go-to favorite spot. We actually had our rehearsal dinner there, but my in-laws loved it so much that they wanted to go back. We had a delicious lunch and then walked around the cute little town of Boiling Springs.

The town of Boiling Springs has a small lake in the center of it called Children’s Lake. The area is known for its many ducks and geese that live close to the lake. The Appalachian Trail actually cuts right through the town and you often see hikers pass through.

We walked around the lake and commented on how beautiful the blooming cherry trees and forsythia looked. We also walked through town and passed the colorful row houses that line up the streets.

Right before lunch, it was starting to drizzle, so before we left I grabbed my new modern trench coat from Talbots. I bought it a little over a month ago when I went shopping with my mom. She encouraged me to buy to it because every gal needs a few statement pieces. And this trench was definitely a statement piece! It’s my favorite purchase of my spring wardrobe so far!

This trench (in the color, Rose Quartz) just gives a completed, polished look. It will elevate any casual outfit or compliment a work/night out look. I absolutely love it!

So if you’re in need of a trench, look no further than Talbots!
