Welcome, Spring

When spring finally comes to save me from a perpetual winter, it’s like the world comes to life again. There’s an energy that I can’t seem to explain. I don’t know where it comes from, but it’s ever so present. Like a friend that has been journeying for months and has finally arrived, and you wonder what took them so long.

But I am not sad that we live in a world of long, dark winters. Because if we didn’t have those dark, cold winter days, would we appreciate the warm, fresh, sunny spring days as much as we do? Would we breathe in that sigh of relief, like a heavy weight has been lifted off our shoulders? Would we notice the little things, like the birds chirping? The flowers starting to bloom? The grass turning a rich green?

Pennsylvania has graced me with every season. We have cold, snowy winters; crisp, cool autumns; warm, fresh, colorful springs; and hot (and sometimes humid) summers. And I love it. I know I complain about the cold and hot, but would I want it any other way? Absolutley not.

So here is to spring. Welcome, we’ve been desperately waiting for you. And there’s no better way to welcome spring than with an outfit, right?

I love blue…all shades of it. And I love pairing them together. This is a simple, causal look. But, I think it would look completely different without the neck scarf, which literally ties it all together, without it, I feel like something is missing. That’s why I love accessories like neck scarves. They just add that something extra – that one thing that just makes the whole outfit a little more…noticeable.
